Scripture Discussion - Fifteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Mark 6:7 - Jesus sent them out two by two.

Sacrament of Salvation

God depends on us to be the committed community present in a world that may or may not welcome us. The immense vision of Paul would not have come to pass were it not for the apostles and all those who stood up for their belief.

Let's be like them. Just once. Then another time. Then another.

Discussion

1. Who puts steel in your spine when you know you must fulfill your commitment but would rather not, at least not right now?

2. Can you think of times in your own life when you handed someone else power to rule your life in ways inconsistent with your Christian vocation?

3. Do you think numbers count? Why or why not? For example, does it matter how many people show up at church for prayer or ministry?
