Scripture Discussion - Holy Trinity Sunday

Matthew 28:19 - Baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

The Life of God

We are asked to be still and consider the presence of God who is Father, Son, and Spirit. We are also asked to bestir ourselves as persons blessed by God, who find our lives in God. And we are asked to bestir ourselves to offer our prayer of praise to the Most Blessed Trinity.

Discussion

1. Recall together the place of the Trinity in our prayer, such as our creed and the sign of the cross that begins and ends our words and work in the world.

2. Identify images of the Trinity in church art or in writings of saints that help you approach the mystery of the Trinity.

3. Some find that the terms describing the actions of the Persons of the Trinity are helpful. Consider these: God the Father as Creator, God the Son as Redeemer, God the Holy Spirit as Sanctifier.
